SMART Route 160, the Downriver bus, runs between Southland Center and West Road and Grange Road. It runs from Monday-Saturday, with headways of about an hour to 75 minutes on weekdays and a pathetic headway of two hours on Saturdays, plus it only goes as far north as Downtown Wyandotte.

Route description
We will start at the Taylor Meijer.
- stop at the shelter near the southwestern corner of the parking lot, then makes a U-turn off of the Meijer property across Pardee Road into Southland Center. We will pass the new Cinemark Southland Center and XD and then Macy's.
- there's a shelter just a short walk away from the entrance that leads you to the JCPenney store and connections to Route 125 and Route 275
- head out behind the Cross Creek Plaza then north on Racho Road through a mix of newer residential development and what's left of the rural forests and fields
- right on Northline Road east
- turn left at the first light into the Wayne County Community College District property. We will turn right and then left into the northeast parking lot, where there's another bus stop shelter.
- back out on Northline east
- stop at Northline and Allen Road, the home of the world-famous Mallie's Sports Grill & Bar
- from here to Interstate 75 there are a number of other restaurants and a couple of hotels as well
- stop in front of the YMCA
- stops at Northline and Fordline Street as well as at Northline and Pearl Street just a short walk from the Hungarian Rhapsody
- stop at Northline and Dix-Toledo Highway for transfer to the park-and-ride Route 830
- stop at Northline and Fort Street where we again can transfer to the 125
- stop in front of the Marathon gas station and Rite Aid at Ford Avenue and Biddle Avenue
- share our portion of Biddle with Route 140
- stop in front of the Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital
- stop in front of the Millennium Clock Tower and Former Sears building
- right on Eureka Road west
- stop in front of Theodore Roosevelt High School
- we again meet the 125 along Eureka between Fort Street and Trenton Road
- stop in front of the Walgreens, KFC and A&W at Eureka and Fort Street
- stop in front of the Southgate Kroger gas station
- stop at the almost-dead Southgate Shopping Center, though the outbuildings are performing better!
- left on Trenton Road south where we will follow the 830 into Trenton
- a shelter right by the MJR Southgate Digital Cinema 20
- left on Cambridge Street east
- stop in front of the newly-vacant Southgate Tower
- travel through the parking lot of the Southgate Meijer and then behind it
- right on Fort Street where we really get roaring at the speed limit of 45
- left on Sibley Road east past the Sibley Quarry. The 830 continues south
- right on West Jefferson Avenue south
- multiple stops in front of the old McLouth Steel plant
- we again catch up with the 830 at King Road for the rest of the route
- shelter in front of the old Riverside Hospital
- right on West Road west
- cross the West Road Viaduct
- stop in front of the Dairy Queen at West and Veterans Parkway
- stop in front of Trenton High School
- the route ends in the parking lot of the West Garange Plaza
History
Began operating on weekdays only on May 20, 2002, replacing parts of the discontinued route 165 and the portion of the 185 that extended south of Eureka Road. Saturday service was launched in September 2007.
