Trenton (population 18,853) is a city located along the Detroit River in southern Downriver. Boundaries are formed by Sibley Road and King Road to the north, Vreeland Road to the south, Reeck Road and Fort Street to the west and the Detroit River separates it from Grosse Ile. West Road, Van Horn Road and Grange Road begin in the city, Grosse Ile Parkway connects it with Grosse Ile and West Jefferson Avenue runs through it. The current mayor is Kyle F. Stack.
It was incorporated as a city in 1957. The territory occupying the present-day city had two previous names before Trenton was adopted.
