Agnes Weber Meade was a teacher and superintendent of schools in Marysville in the early 20th century. Agnes Weber Meade School in Marysville is named for her.

Born at Franklin Corners in Yuba County, Agnes was one of six children of Mary Barbara Weber and Nicolaus Joseph Weber, a Roman Catholic family who owned a 160-acre ranch about four miles west of Yuba City. Her parents moved to Marysville when Agnes was about six years old, and her father made money hauling farm freight. Agnes graduated from the College of Notre Dame in 1902 and passed the Yuba County examination for teachers. She taught in Yuba County public schools until 1908, when she entered the State Teachers College at San José, from which she was graduated in 1909. She then taught for a year in Sutter County, and thereafter in Yuba County. She taught in rural Yuba County schools until 1913 and in Marysville grammar schools until 1918. In 1918, she married farmer William Joseph Meade of Smartsville. He died in 1921 at the age of 41, leaving a daughter named Helen. After his death, Agnes gave birth to their son, William Joseph Meade, Jr.

Needing to support herself and two children as a single mother, Agnes Weber Meade resumed teaching in Marysville grammar schools until 1926, when she was elected to a four-year term as the Yuba County Superintendent of Schools. In this capacity, she oversaw 29 elementary schools serving 1,500 students, 2 high schools serving 500 students, and Yuba College, which served 160 students. Her sister Gertrude helped look after her children and her housekeeping while Agnes was busy with her career.

It is said that Agnes Weber Meade's favorite hobby was playing tennis.
