Alicia is a neighborhood comprising the southern portion of West Linda, in Yuba County. Its name is pronounced "uh-LEE-shuh." Alicia Avenue takes its name from the neighborhood, as did Alicia Intermediate School and Alicia Market (though the latter two no longer exist).

History

In the early 1850s, there was a short-lived effort to start a town called Eliza, named in honor of John Sutter's daughter Anna Eliza, on the east bank of the Feather River at Eliza Bend.1
