The Allyn Scott Youth and Community Center began in 1998 when Ken and Allyn Scott founded the Hot Dog Junction restaurant. The Scotts soon found that Hot Dog Junction had become a social gathering place for local youth, so with the help of volunteers and donors from throughout the community, they made that capacity official.

There is an after school program open Monday-Friday 3pm-6pm with various activities such as sewing, arts and crafts, drum lessons, painting, cooking and much more. Contact Program Coordinator, Heather Moldenhauer at 530-749-1776 or email [email protected] for more information.

Youth can play pool or ping pong, air hockey, pinball and various other games.

There are two youth groups available for area youth:

The Kids Club ages 7-13 meetings are Mondays and Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. The A_TeAm ages 8th grade and up meetings are Fridays at 5:00 p.m.

The Board of Directors meet the 1st Monday of each month at 7:00p.m.

Yuba County Recreation Program has classes offered on Tuesdays-Gymnastics, Dance, and Fencing. Call Joanna Wade at the Yuba County Recreation Program for more information.

September-May- Yuba-Sutter Archery Association sponsors an indoor archery range at the Allyn Scott Youth and Community Center every Thursday from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. cost is free. 5:00p.m.-7:00p.m. Open Community Shoot cost is $2.50 for students and $5 for adults. Walk-ins are welcome. There are 20 lanes available, with distances ranging from 5 yards to 20 yards. Target faces are supplied. -Classic Ballroom of Marysville offers ballroom dance lessons 7:00p.m.-8:00p.m. and dance 8:00p.m.-10:00p.m. cost is $5 for lesson and $5 for dance.

Good Vibrations Square Dance Club meets Monday evenings.

Jay Perry of Full Circle MMA offers mixed martial arts classes on Friday afternoons from 4:15p.m.-6:30p.m. Call Sensei Jay Perry at 530-559-7010 for more information.
