Butchie's Pool Chili Cook-Off is held annually at the Yuba Sutter Fairgrounds on the second Saturday in June, to raise money to support Butchie's Pool. Individuals and organizations will try to out-cook and out-entertain each other in a display of their cooking and presentation skills. Chili and salsa are the specialties of the day, but various other foods are also presented. Craft vendors and entertainment also enliven the event, which is sponsored by Friends of Butchie's Pool.
