Butte Slough is a slough that is about eight miles long. It diverts some of the water from the Sacramento River at Moon Bend and flows into the Sutter Bypass east of Tarke. The far western portion of it begins at the far southern end of Butte Slough Road and forms part of the border between Colusa County and Sutter County.
