Cranmore is an unincorporated town in Sutter County. It is located on the southeast bank of the Sacramento River, southwest of Hinsdale, west of Everglade, northwest of Subaco, and north of Poffenberger's Landing. Its elevation is 43 feet.

The native plant communities of Cranmore are valley grassland and riparian forest.

The U.S. Postal Service sometimes lists addresses in Cranmore as being in Meridian, because they are both in the 95957 zip code. However, on the Yuba-Sutter Wiki, we prefer listing the more specific location Cranmore.

Demographics

The U.S. Census Bureau combines Cranmore with Kirkville, Meridian, and Robbins as a single census-designated place with a total area of 186.1 square miles. As of a July 2007 estimate, the total population of the four localities combined was 1,866.1

Residents' median age was 35 years.

72.1% of residents were white and non-Hispanic, followed by 38.2% of residents who were Hispanic.

Of residents 25 or older, 57.4% had at least a high school degree, 15.2% had at least a bachelor's degree, and 5.3% had a graduate or professional degree.

Of residents 15 or older, 61.3% were married, 23.8% had never married, 8.3% were divorced, 6.6% were widowed, and 2.4% were separated.

For employed residents, the average travel time to work was 24 minutes. The most common industries for males to work in were farming (50%) and the construction industry (10%). The most common industries for females to work in were farming (18%) and education (14%). The Meridian-Robbins area has an unusually high proportion of farm workers, compared to the rest of the Yuba-Sutter region.

The 2007 median annual household income was $49,458 and median home price was $242,167. 18.9% of residents were below the poverty level in 2007, and 11.2% were below half the poverty level.
