The Golden West Regional Fly-In and Airshow has been held annually in June since 1998. It takes place June 7-9, 2013, at the Yuba County Airport. It is sponsored by the Golden West Aviation Association, Inc., an all-volunteer, non-profit, California public benefit corporation formed in 1997 by representatives of California Chapters of the Experimental Aircraft Association. Its purpose is to promote aviation education and safety. The annual fly-in features a close-up look at hundreds of aircraft, including homebuilts, antiques, aerobatic, ultralights, hot air balloons, racers, WWII warbirds, and current military aircraft. It also features forums by aviation experts, including authors and war heroes, and the opportunity to buy aircraft accessories, tools, and complete plans for airplanes.

Friday is a youth education day. Kids can participate in hands-on workshops to learn about the mechanics of flight and how airplanes are made. Free "young eagle" flights are available to kids ages 8 to 17.

On Saturday, an aerobatic airshow fills the sky with lots of smoke, noise, and thrills.

On Sunday, a warbird airshow showcases individually owned retired military aircraft.
