The Highland Games and Celtic Festival has been held annually since 1988. It takes place at the Yuba-Sutter Fairgrounds on the last weekend in September. The festival is sponsored by the Yuba-Sutter Scottish Cultural Society, Inc. and celebrates the traditions of the Celtic-American Community. It features music, dance, living history, pageantry, sporting events, and food. Irish, Scottish, and Welsh craft vendors hawk their wares throughout the event. Proceeds are distributed through local charities and scholarships.
