Mary Jane Griego is the Yuba County Supervisor for District 3, which includes Plumas Lake. Supervisor Griego and the other county officials know that Plumas Lake is a planning disaster.
The county officials expect that when the payments on the $40 million bond the county took out to build the levy to protect the subdivision from flooding come due, the county will default. The county is then banking on the Yuba County Water Agency to pick up the payments.
This is if, during the FERC re-licensing, the State of California doesn't take over and confiscate the $100 million income that the YCWA generates by selling the power generated to PG&E.
Supervisor Griego voted to close public comments on the public general plan and EIR.
Supervisor Griego takes Planning Director Wendy Hartman on her "junkets" at taxpayer's expense.
Supervisor Griego is up for reelection in 2012.
