Ostrom is an unincorporated town in Yuba County. It is located on the Union Pacific Railroad, southwest of Beale Air Force Base, northwest of Wheatland, northeast of Plumas Lake and Arboga, and southeast of Olivehurst. Its elevation is 69 feet.
The native plant community of Ostrom is central oak woodland.

History
Ostrom was formerly known as Reed and Reeds Station, both times named in honor of Henry Reed, who settled here in 1850. A post office was established at Reeds Station in 1871 but was discontinued later that year.
