Alan Jackson is a physicist who serves on the Ann Arbor park advisory commission and is a board member for the Leslie Science & Nature Center.

He was appointed to PAC in June 2012 for a term running through June 3, 2015. 

Professionally, Jackson manages the Radiation Safety Office for the Henry Ford Health System. According to a bio on the Leslie Science & Nature Center's website, he has been previously employed by both the University of Michigan and the University of Virginia, where he provided radiation safety support to biomedical researchers, high energy accelerators, and research reactors. He is involved with the Health Physics Society, and has served as president of the Great Lakes Chapter. He also is on the board of the American Academy of Health Physics.

 

Jackson completed his MS in Radiological Health Physics from the University of Michigan.
