Huron Acres was a development proposal in 2008 for a 50 acre development to the north of Arborland towards South Pond. The project, which would have included hotels, medical facilities, and assisted living, was never built.

Septmber 8, 2014. Past projects proposed on site behind Ann Arbor's Arborland. MLive. "Farmington Hills-based Bacall Development announced plans for Huron Acres in 2008. The proposal included restaurants with outdoor eating areas, a pair of four-story hotels, townhouses and senior housing."

April 3, 2008. New project proposed - Buildings would go up north of Arborland. Ann Arbor News. "According to the site plans filed with the city, two hotels with a total of 240 rooms would be positioned along the east side of the property, next to US-23. They would share parking with a mixed-use office and medical building. Two restaurants and 24,000 square feet of retail space would be located near the southern edge of the property and would share another parking lot."
