Masco Cabinetry is nearing completion of a consolidation plan that the firm says will ultimately lead to 450 workers housed in its new headquarters in Ann Arbor Township. Masco announced in March that it would move 350 workers into the 150,000-square-foot ex-Flint Ink building by the end of 2010 and hire an additional 100 workers over the next few years.
Formerly known as Merillat Industries, the company’s beginning dates back 63 years, when Orville Merillat founded Merillat Woodworking Co. in Adrian and then built it into the largest cabinetmaker in the United States.
