Bringing the fun of grilling out indoors, Alexander's is a family fun grill-your-own steakhouse! (But if you like, they cook it for you instead for about $2.00 or for free if it's chicken or fish)

The restaurant consists of three large charcoal grills.  It also contains the LARGEST and most diverse salad bar in all of Bloomington-Normal.  All meals include unlimited salad bar and delicious Texas toast, as well as a baked potato (which can be subbed for fries, steak fries, a vegetable kabob, or broccoli.) 

Alexander's is owned by Mercede's Restaurants, which also owns Famous Dave's. 

Alexander’s also has a vast bar that includes a diverse amount of beers and wines.  The restaurant also has FOUR televisions that typically show sporting events, and sometimes the employees change the channel if you ask them to.  The building consists of five big rooms, four of which have an open concept that connect freely with each other.  However, the fifth room is a large banquet space equipped with its OWN grill and salad bar and television.  Alexander’s banquet room is the perfect space for wedding rehearsals, anniversaries, and birthday parties!  Upon request, Alexander’s will help decorate the banquet room to suit your needs.  Reservations are the best way to go for any dinner, but if you want to be in the banquet room, you HAVE to make the reservation ahead of time. The winter is Alexanders’ busiest season, so reservations are very important to secure a spot in this well-worth-it restaurant. 

Alexanders’ busiest days of the year include;

New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas Eve, and a few other holidays.

Not only do the employees dress up for most holidays (including an assistant manager that dresses up as Buddy the Elf from Elf on every Christmas Eve) but Alexander’s ALSO decorates for Halloween and Christmas!  T

Alexander’s also offers many frequent deals for different days of the week or certain holidays.

ISU and Alexander’s go hand in hand often and Reggie the Redbird has even grilled his steak there IN COSTUME!!!

They cater meatballs, wings, and a few other requested specialties.

Not only are gift cards available, but Alexander’s also sells their pre-made frozen hamburgers!

Alexander’s is a fun-for-all restaurant and even though it’s pricey, it’s well worth this original experience!
