Bloomington-Normal is the name of our twin municipalities. Those who live here consider it one town, since you can't really tell where one ends and the other begins (except by a small green welcome sign). The two cities combined have a population of about 130,000. There are two older, historical commercial districts, Downtown Bloomington and Uptown Normal. Otherwise, many of the big businesses in town are located on Veteran's Parkway

Bloomington-Normal is also known for having one of the highest number of restaurants per capita.

- Whether you are moving to Bloomington-Normal or just visiting, there is a lot to know about this town, as well as see. If you get off exit 165 and take Mainstreet through there is a bunch to see. When you think of Bloomington-Normal you might think of a college town with a bunch of wild crazy drunk kids, but there is actually a lot more. There are a number of schools at all different age levels. From Illinois State to preschool, Bloomington-Normal has it all. There are a few different police stations, libraries, and other attractions. Aside from all the college student, there are also families that live an everyday life here. The population consists of more than one cultural or race, it is mixed. Also, because the fact that it is predominately a college town, there are many great ways to save money and get the great deals that are constantly being offered. Bloomington-Normal is a great place to visit or live depending on what you are looking for in a community. To say the least I would recommend to anyone wanting to move that they check out Bloomington-Normal and all it has to offer.

-The Bloomington-Normal area has the appearance of being a bigger city, but it has the personality of a close knit community, one you expect to find in a small town. Because of State Farm having a huge influence on the town, it is constantly growing, in job fields and population. It is a wonderful place for a person to go to school and get an education, and transition into a job and try and start a life and advance in their careers further.

It is a welcoming community because of the many opportunities the area has to provide. Despite its location in the state, it still has many attractions, for a variety of ages.
