Prairie Aviation Museum

The mission of the museum:To educate, entertain, and inspire through collecting, preserving, and displaying aircraft, artifacts, and memorabilia about aviation and space

Upcoming Events:

Saturday September 17th is A Day At The Airport. This will include breakfast for $5.00 per person. (Donations for children ages 5 and under) From 9 A.M. to 4 P.M. there will be an open cockpit, display and other activities for a $5.00 admission price. From 10 A.M. – 2 P.M. there’s a Car Cruise-In along. Separate from the main event will be helicopter/airplane rides for extra fees. There will also be other games, simulators, and museum access throughout the day. Attractions within the museum

Currently there are nine planes currently on display at the museum. The planes displayed are the A-4 Skyhawk, the A-7 Corsair II, the AH-1J SeaCobra, the F-4N Phantom, the f14D Tomcat, the F-100 Super Sabre, the T-33 Shooting Star, the T-38A Talon, and the UH-1H Huey. There are also displays within the museum that include the Carrier Display, the Charles Lindberg Display, the Illinois Astronauts Gallery, the Link Trainer Display, and Rosie the Riveter. Another attraction of the museum is the Flight Simulators. Currently the museum uses MS Flight Simulator 2004.

Admission Prices Children under five and members of the museum get in Free Children from six to eleven: $2.00 Adults: $5.00
