The point are apartments almost directly across the street from Heartland Community College. It is occupied by a lot of college students from ISU and Heartland. As far as affordability, The Point is very affordable for college students. It comes fully furnished and includes free internet and cable as well. The only thing that you have to pay for is electricity. The rent is paid by room, and all occupants sign separate leases and pay separate rent. This is a good thing so that there is no conflict within the household. Another upside to the point is that there is a free workout center, pool, and laundry mat on site. Although, it might be more convenient to have a washer and dryer in the individual apartments. If you are someone who is looking for a quiet neighborhood, The Point is probably not for you, considering college students live there and there are many parties on the weekends. Some downfalls to the point are that the management are slightly unprofessional. There has been reports of the office losing rent payments, and forcing people to pay again. They also do not have the apartments in the best condition when it's time for move in. http://www.steppingstoneprop.com/property_thepoint.html

I have been wanting to invest my money into something that could generate me more profit. I originally had plans of purchasing a 4 flat building or a house in Chicago to rent out. I have been considering all of my options of investments such as the stock market. The problem with that is that the bigger the risk the more money you make but I don’t want to take a big risk. I am originally from Chicago and know the city pretty well, so moving to Bloomington was a bit of a difference for me. I first did not think there were many possibilities for me here.

In the seven months that I have been here I have already had three different jobs. My most resent job is with Campus Point and a leasing agent. I enjoy it very much because it gives me an opportunity to meet people and to know the town of Bloomington a little more. My boss is very enthusiastic always on the job which helps us as his employees to get are job done more proficiently.

Campus Point is an affordable place for college students with many advantages of having free washers, dryers, gym, and swimming pool which is open in the summer. Campus point has had many changes to it and specifically in the gym area. In the gym there has been added more treadmills so in total now there are four there is and ab area, weights, balls and mats to do yoga. In the gym area there is also TV which has free cable and is open for anyone to watch it.

The only down fall to the point is that electricity is not included with the rent. The rent at the point varies starting with a four bedroom is $399, three beds $445, two beds is $515 and one bedrooms are $745. Another downfall to the point is the fact that pets are not allowed. Campus Point has great maintenance service that fixes things very quickly. Compared to other complexes we have great services.

Speaking to my boss Joseph I was able to come to the conclusion of wanting to purchase a home in Bloomington to then rent out. The cost of homes in Bloomington is a lot less inexpensive than in Chicago. I have learned that right now is a great time to purchase a house out here in Bloomington-Normal.
