John Ellis (or Ellsworth) Redwood was a Franklin county assemblyman from 1924 to 1928.
He is buried in St. John's in the Wilderness Cemetery.

John E. Redwood, 78, former Franklin county assemblyman, and political leader, died suddenly last Thursday afternoon at the Sanford Hayes camp on the river road near Bloomingdale, where he had been vacationing. He was a prominent political figure in that section, serving on the board of supervisors more than 20 years, the last 12 of which he was chairman, before his election to the state assembly in 1925.

BLOOMINGDALE, July 31. (AP)— John Elsworth Redwood, 78, Republican assemblyman from Franklin county from 1924 to 1928, died today. Prior to his election, Redwood served 26 years as superintendent of the William Rockefeller estate at Bay Pond.
