SARANAC LAKE - Mrs. Nellie Collins, a life-long resident of Saranac Lake died Saturday night at the Uihlein Mercy Center.
She was born in Saranac on Jan. 5, 1901, the daughter of Newell F. Bassett and Cora F. Spaulder.
She had been a registered nurse in area hospitals.
She was married to the late Philip Collins on Oct. 1, 1929 in St. Bernard's Church.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Grace McKillip of Saranac Lake and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at Keough and Son Memorial Chapels Inc. on Monday 2-4, 7-9 p.m. There will be a Bible Vigil at 7:30 on Monday evening and a Mass of the Resurrection Tuesday at 11:15 at St. Bernard's Church. The Rev. C.J. McAvoy will officiate. Interment will be in Pine Ridge Cemetery.
