Funeral Services This Morning for Orban M. Barber, 80

Funeral services were held this morning at 10 o'clock at St. John's in the Wilderness of Lake Clear, for Orban M. Barber, 80, who died Monday morning at 7 at Saranac Lake.

Burial will be in the White family plot at St. Alphonsus Cemetery in Tupper Lake.

Born at Matamoras, Pa., March 30, 1860, Mr. Barber had spent most of his life in this sector, working for many years at the Blagden summer camp and boys' school at Fish Creek; at Saranac Inn, and as a guide and caretaker at various private camps in the Saranac region. He made his home for many years with Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Mussen of Saranac Lake, parents of Mrs. William H. White of this village, and funeral arrangements and plans for interment in the White family plot here were made by the family some time ago at his request.

Mr. Barber had never married, and there are no close survivors. He had not worked in about 15 years because of failing health.
