Tadds Way is a road that leads from McKenzie Pond Road about three-quarters of a mile to just short of McKenzie Pond.  It was presumably named for Philadelphia art educator J. Liberty Tadd who founded the Adirondack Summer Art School there c. 1900.  The area had previously  been known as the Harvey Farm.  Tadd had cabins built to house his students; the cabins may have been the ones operated later on as Covey's Cabins.
