Rick Bosetti is a life-long resident of Shasta County and, after graduating from Anderson High in 1971 and completing 1½ years at Shasta College, he was drafted to play professional baseball for the Philadelphia Phillies in January of 1973. Rick’s baseball career ended in 1983 after having completed portions of seven seasons in the major leagues.

Rick started working in the technology sector in 1984 with a company called Business Computer Systems. After five years, he bought the company with three partners and changed the name to Team Solutions. He sold his interest to his partners after ten years and remains there today in sales and consulting.

Rick married his high school sweetheart Patti in 1978 and they have raised three daughters and one son in Redding.

Rick’s involvement in the Redding community has been extensive. He served ten years as a Redding Planning Commissioner, eight years on the Mercy Hospital Advisory Board, nine years on the St. Joseph's School Board and also chaired the Community Development Advisory Board for three years. Rick currently serves on the Advisory Board for the College of Engineering at CSU Chico, and in May 2006, he took over as Head Coach for the Simpson University baseball team.

Liaison Assignments: In addition to Rick’s responsibilities as a new City Council Member, he was also selected to serve as Council liaison to the Development Services, Municipal Utilities and Support Services Departments, the Audit Committee, Planning Commission and the Airport Land Use Commission.
