Rio Americano High School is part of the San Juan Unified School District.
Rio Americano High School is a public high school. It was established in 1963 for temporary education until 1983, where it would be then demolished and replaced with housing. However, the school remains active today under principal Brian Ginter.
Rio Americano students come from the surrounding areas of Arden Park, Arden Oaks, Sierra Oaks, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Gold River.
The school is said to share a rivalry with its neighbor, Jesuit High School.
