Summary Dana Priest, a graduate of UCSC in 1981 and former editor of City on a Hill, is an award winning writer and journalist. She most recently gained national attention with her article Top Secret America which appeared in the Washington Post in July of 2010. The article (co-authored with William M. Arkin) reported on the increase in size of the intelligence community since the World Trade Center attacks in 2001.

Biography Priest was born in 1957. She has written for the Washington Post since 1986.

Achievements In 2008 Priest won the Pultizer Prize for public service for her article The Other Walter Reed. In 2006 she won a Pulitzer for her work reporting on CIA counterterrorism operations.
