The Rising Tide is a radio program on KZSC (88.1 FM) featuring local bands as well as music from the Bay Area, Northern California, and as they say BEYOND. It airs on Friday nights from 8:30pm to 10:30pm. The collective of DJs that have run the program include Lee Bedrouni and Michal Kamran.
The bands that have appeared live on the program comprise a virtual who's who of the recent Santa Cruz independent music scene, including Tether Horse, Man/Miracle, Midnite Snack, Hermit Convention, New Bengal Spice, Cool Band Now, Electric Leaves, Mountain Animal Hospital, James Rabbit, The Broads, Matador, Nessie & Her Beard, Harlequin Baby, Intergalactic Smugglers, Noise Clinic, Nursery, Monsters Are Not Myths, The Terrible, San Narciso, The Groggs, Wooster, Audiafauna, and MANY others.
