The Santa Cruz Dance site is sponsored by the Traditional Dancers of Santa Cruz, a non-profit, public benefit association that has produced twice-monthly contra dances locally since January of 2000, taking over from the Santa Cruz Monterey Country Dancers, which had been doing it since 1982. The website is a source for information about dancing opportunities in Santa Cruz, especially partner dancing in the tradition of contra - also called Traditional New England Folk Dancing - and English Country.
