Corktown Common is a brand new park in the downtown east side.

And so is its new volunteer-run group, Friends of Corktown Common.

They are meeting for the first time on Saturday October 5, 2013 at the concrete picnic tables in the Common. If there's rain, the meeting moves inside The Dominion on Queen.

The intention is for, "Park lovers and neighbours who work together to promote and maintain" Corktown Common.
