Bored? Don't you wish there was something going on every week (hell, everyday!) in Toronto that was FUN and was FREE.

Taking inspiration from all those pioneers out there who had the ideas for random Pillow Fights, Capture the Flag Games, Subway Parties, Hide & Seek, Flash Mobs, etc,

We decided to create such a group.

What are we? We are whatever is FUN, FREE AND DONE TOGETHER WITH OTHER PEOPLE. It could be games, it could be considered public art ... quite frankly we don't care ... as long as it's FUN.

Get readddddyyyyy for the funnest time ever!!!! We are going to rock this city!

RULES : **Disclaimer: Like other activities, Capture the Flag carries with it the risk of personal injury. By choosing to participate, players acknowledge the associated dangers and release the organizers from all liability. **

Teams Each team is chosen at random ; but friends' preferences will be respected. The teams will be defined by HAT/HEADGEAR WEARERS versus NON HAT/HEADGEAR WEARERS. HAT/HEADGEAR TEAM - no taking off your hat/headgear for purposes of tricking the other team.

Planning Time/Communication Each team will receive members' cellphone numbers in order to keep everyone up to date during the game. Each team is given a flag and is allowed 10 minutes to hide their flag and develop a strategy. At the end of the 10 minute planning time, a cellular call will go to each team captains and the game will begin. Once the flag is placed it may not be moved.

Hiding the flag The flag MUST be placed in an area with at least 3 points of approach. Ex: corner of two surface streets or a 3+ way pathway. No alleys, laneways, circles, dead end streets, underground pathways or edges of the map. There may be no obstructions near the flag, such as street furniture or garbage.

Defending flags Only five people may defend a flag at any time, and must stay at least 10 meters (40 feet) away from the flag at all times. Those defenders on bicycles must stay 50 meters (200 feet).

Getting tagged If you are in enemy territory and you are tagged, you must return to your side of the border and count to twenty before you can cross back into enemy territory. The honor system is used. The border street is neutral, but the sidewalk on either side is not. One-hand tag only, no holding, grabbing or touching in any other way: please respect your fellow players' physical boundaries. You must touch the player - touching the bicycle does not count. If you are tagged with a flag in enemy territory - you must give them the flag to them and return to your territory.

Captures (Points) A point is scored when the opponent’s flag is brought to your flag’s location - your flag is not required to be in your zone in order to record a point. To score a point your team's referee at the flag site will call the other team referees to inform them. ... The flag will returned to the border and handed over to the first enemy team member seen. The player handing back the flag in not allowed to pursue the enemy player they handed the flag to. ... The game will not be paused when a flag is captured. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins!

Territory Players are safe on their side. If they are in enemy territory, they can be tagged by an opponent. If they are tagged, they must proceed to the border and count to ten.

Transportation Players are allowed to use bicyles, skateboards, rollerblades, rollerskates, longboards, scotters, segways (kidding!) ; no other method of transportation is acceptable.

Referees, Cheating and Arguing Each team will have one team member at there flag site who will be volunteer referees making sure the rules are followed at the flag sites ; Please be honest. Please keep it fun and fair.

Cost Our events are always free. You do not need to sign up, just show up - BUT AN RSVP on Facebook OR on http://www.torontopedia.ca/Fun_Toronto would be very helpful.
