The Sutter County Board of Education consists of five trustees elected to four-year terms by four different areas of Sutter County. It typically meets at the Sutter County Superintendent of Schools Office. These are its current members:

Sutter County includes eight school districts: Yuba City Unified School District, Live Oak Unified School District, Sutter Union High School District, East Nicolaus Joint Union High School District, Brittan Elementary School District, Marcum-Illinois Union Elementary School District, Nuestro Elementary School District, and Winship-Robbins Elementary School District.
