The Yuba County Board of Education consists of seven trustees elected to four-year terms by seven different areas of Yuba County. It typically meets on the second Wednesday of each month at 4:30 p.m. in the Oak Room at Yuba County Office of Education. These are its current members:

The Yuba County Board of Education passed a proclamation in 2008 opposing the right of same-sex couples to marry. Board members Lou Binninger, George Smith, Marlene Rastetter, Mary J. Hovey, Donna Landerman, and Wayne Vincent all voted in favor of this proclamation. Board member Emily Dawson was not yet a member of the board at the time of the vote.1

Yuba County includes six school districts: Marysville Joint Unified School District, Plumas Lake Elementary School District, Wheatland School District, Wheatland Union High School District, Camptonville School District, and Yuba Community College District.
