On the 95-acre grounds are currently 65 historic buildings from the former Prussian Rhine province. Farms, wind and water mills, workshops, community buildings such as schools and Backhaus, dance hall and chapel are examples of the construction, housing and economic activity of the rural population since the end of the 15th century. The monuments are embedded in a museum landscape with fields, cottage gardens and orchards.
