SARANAC LAKE; — Mrs. Pauline Dewey Ryan of Bloomingdale died this morning at the General Hospital of Saranac Lake.

She had been a long-time resident of Saranac Lake, residing at 39 Baker St., before moving to Bloomingdale. She also made her residence in Port Orange, Fla.

Mrs. Ryan was born Sept. 1, 1914, the daughter of William and Grace (Brown) Dewey.

She was a graduate of Columbia Presbyterian University and was a retired dental hygienist, retiring from the Sunmount center in Tupper Lake in 1976.

She was also a World War II veteran and had served in the United States Women's Army Corps.

Survivors include her husband, Carl J. Ryan of Bloomingdale; a son, Gary Ryan of Saranac Lake; a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Kentile of Saranac Lake; a brother, John Dewey of Bloomingdale; a sister, Miss Florence Dewey of Richfield Park, N.J.; and two grandchildren.

Calling hours will be held at the Keough and Son Funeral Home Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

A Bible vigil will be held at 7:30 that evening at the funeral home. .

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said Monday morning at 11:15 at St. Bernard's Church, with Father John Yonkovig acting as celebrant.

Private committal services will be held in St. Bernard's Cemetery.

Friends may make contributions in her memory to their favorite charity.
