South Moline Township offers services and property assessment to its residents. Their homepage lists its main goal as "improving the quality of life for the children, elderly and those less fortunate in our community". This township has five locations that are open 9am-12pm and 1-4pm:

- Cemetery, 2902 32nd Ave., Moline
- Road & Bridge, 3310 48th Ave., Moline
- Senior Center, 637 17th Ave., East Moline
- Town Hall, 2521 53rd St, Moline
The Assessor's office establishes property value and assists with homeowner exemptions. A three-person cemetery board runs the Rock River View Cemetery, est. 1840, and the South Moline Township Cemetery, est. 1966.
The Road Maintenance Department, located at the "Road & Bridge" location above, provides maintenance of roads within the township. This includes snow and ice control, repairs, tree trimming and removal, roadside mowing, mosquito abatement, and signage.
The Senior Center offers a calendar of activities such as bingo, computer training, and card clubs. It is also available for rent at a fee of $100/5 hours plus a $50 damage deposit.
The township Supervisor's office is located in the Town Hall listed above. The Supervisor oversees the township and chairs its Board of Trustees. The supervisor is also responsible for the General Assistance Program and is treasurer of town funds. General Assistance is provided to township residents who meet income and asset guidelines by application. It includes vouchers for rent, food, clothing, personal items, and/or household supplies. The township also offers Emergency Assistance.
The township also targets contributions to youth programs, including sports camps, summer enrichment programs, school and club athletics, Project Graduations, test prep tutoring, and more. Past contributions can be found on this site.
As of the 2010 Census, the population of the South Moline Township was 36,399 and it contained 15.99 square miles of land and a total area of 16.95 square miles.
