- Since it seems you are new to the wiki, let me advise you. Creating a second account and posting comments agreeing with yourself is called Sock-puppetry, which is discouraged. "NotImpressed" or "RichMatthew," however you would like to name yourself, choose a single account and make comments, but don't try to create the appearance of a quorum of people in agreement with you - especially when the IP address of the edits is exactly the same. -KarlMogel

- NotImpressed, you seem to be trying to dodge the issue by not recognizing what you were doing. Having two computers is not an issue. The issue is purposely creating a second account so that you can create a false appearance of many people in agreement. Somehow, while you are violating wiki ethics and are frustrated over being found out, you are taking it personally that the wiki has a system in place where users can see if two accounts are editing from the same computer? Think of it this way: by signing under two names - you are lying at least once. Trying to cover up with an "I have two computers" excuse is twice. Keep digging.
I also find it comical that you are insulting the Davis wiki on the Moller International page as "not a true wiki" while breaching real wiki ethics. - KarlMogel
- Do you consider a website knowing your IP address to be compromising your ID, or is there something else that I've missed in this discussion? The vast majority of web servers maintain logs that include IP addresses.—JasonAller
- To be fair, those logs are the vast majority of the time not available to absolutely anyone on the Internet to access. -ES
- Not to nitpick, but most wiki and forum software (i.e., most interactive sites) include the IP information, in wikis in the edit logs, and in forums, usually attached to the message. Even email makes a good attempt to preserve that info. Generally it is to prevent this short of tomfoolery, since a wiki/forum/communications in general are built on trust. —jw
