Jabez Mahlon England m (2) the eldest daughter of Charles Stevens Junr and his second wife, Jane Ann nee Alexander. Charles Stevens Junr was the eldest brother of Mrs Jabez Mahlon England nee Louisa Stevens, making JM England’s second wife a niece of his first wife.

Father; John. m (2) 18/12/1877 Christ Church Mt Barker, Jane Ann nee Alexander (b c1852 perhaps Bowden), the second daughter of Thomas Alexander & Jane nee WALLACE. The Alexanders emigrated to SA 1850 Sea Queen from Edinburgh, Co Midlothian, Scotland. Thomas Alexander was a labourer at Bowden and then Mt Barker, before buying land near Mt Barker and becoming a farmer there for the rest of his life.
