- 1838 August - Ship Zebra leaves Altona with Lutheran immigrants aboard.
- 1838 December - Zebra arrived Holdfast Bay, South Australia, and 4 days later berthed at Port Adelaide (Port Misery).
- 1839 January - Lutheran immigrants accept agreement for Hahndorf land negotiated on their behalf by Capt Hahn after visit to Mount Barker area with first special survey partners (Dutton, Finnis & Macfarlane).
