The first page of this autograph book has 'Elsa Kramm, Hahndorf S.A.' written on it & the very next page is dated 1891 & several pages later one is dated 1864. Elsa KRAMM was born Alfrida Elsa, 18 July 1898, 'Nr Hahndorf, Nairne', [SAGHS Birth Index Database], 2nd child of Anna Bertha LIEBELT & Carl Reinhold KRAMM which indicates this book was begun over 30 years before Elsa was born.
Else is the grandmother of Kathryn SCHMEISS who has preserved this 160 year old autograph book which includes some scripts written in German.
Elsa's mother was the youngest of 11 children born to Johanna Caroline LUBASCH & the 1st child of the '2nd LIEBELT son' [Johann Gottlieb LIEBELT] married to Maria Elisabeth KUCHEL. They were both on the 'Zebra' which arrived in South Australia in 1839.
