This platform has been catalyzed by a partnership betweenNeighborhood Economics and the Asheville Buncombe Food Policy Council, to help improve and foster cross-pollination and effectiveness for and between community organizations and in Asheville and Buncombe County working with food systems. We are currently a small group of local people passionate about our community and its well-being.
Our first goal with LocalWiki is to provide a complete and accurate resource guide, narratively and visually, of our local Foodshed system beginning at the County level. We hope to tell the story of our community through food with all lenses, highlighting every touch point from our incredible "foodtopia," to the food insecurity epidemic in Buncombe County.
