City Officials

The Baltimore City Council is essentially the group of people responsible for making decisions that impact the lives of over 600,000 residents in Baltimore. They hold regular meetings and have 14 members, each elected by a specific district, and a president elected by everyone in the city. These elected officials serve for four years and are involved in a variety of committees that address different issues.

They make decisions on things like city ordinances and resolutions that can have a direct impact on our daily lives. And just in case something were to happen to the mayor, the City Council president steps in as the temporary mayor.
