The Adelmann house, was originally located at the corner of Third and Jefferson Street, is typical of homes constructed in Boise between 1870 and 1890. Owned by Richard C. Adelmann, a Boise businessman in the late 1800s, the Adelmann House can now be found at the Idaho Historical Museum's Pioneer Village in Julia Davis Park. In this house, two small rooms sit side by side in front of a larger third room to create a “hall and parlor” floor plan. With a gable roof and wooden wrap-around porch, the exterior illustrates features that were popular at the time. After being owned by the family since the 1880s, the Adelmann house was moved from its original location to Pioneer Village in the early 1980s.
