Boise VA Medical Center

The Boise Veterans Affairs Medical Center has been serving veterans that have proudly served in the armed forces since 1919. It is located in the Old Fort Boise area and its address is 500 Fort Street, Boise, ID 83702 and the phone number is 208-422-1000.

The hospital first started out as a site that was acquired by the U.S. Public Health Service for use as a tuberculosis hospital. The campus was transferred to the control of the Veterans Administration (now the Department of Veterans Affairs) in 1938 and took on its present role as the Boise VA Medical Center.

The Boise VA Medical Center offers many inpatient and outpatient services for veterans of all services. (http://www.boise.va.gov/services/) All eligible veterans receive excellent medical care for service connected disabilities whether they were injured in peacetime or war time. The medical center has been recognized by The Joint Commission as a "Top Performer on Key Quality Measures for 2010." This means that it is recognized as one of the top performing medical centers that are linked to positive patient outcome.
