The Discovery Center of Idaho is an interactive, hands-on science center with both permanent and rotating exhibitions. Although the Discovery Center's mission statement embraces lifelong learning, it's an especially excellent place for the preK-6 crowd to learn about science, math, and technology in a way that engages their five senses and their sense of curiosity.

In addition to its exhibits, the Discovery Center offers classes and camps, and on its website it features science activities kids can do at home.

The Discovery Center also hosts Science Café, a moderated discussion on contemporary scientific issues; recent topics have included ethanol, Idaho's amphibians, and H1N1.
