The Knitting Factory was originally opened as the Big Easy in 2000 by Bravo Entertainment. Bravo Entertainment aimed to bring big names to small venues and areas such as Boise and Spokane. Bravo entertainment was bought out by Big Easy Entertainment in 2006. The change in the company made some people nervous about the change in Boise music scene. Luckily the buyout only included a makeover of the club and continued with current staff.
