DIY, or Do-It-Yourself, stores provide materials for projects around the home. If you need something to hang towels on in your bathroom, to make a shed or swing set for the garden or just some nails, one of these shops is your best bet.
Obi
A large and very comprehensive DIY store with a garden section good building materials section and large lighting department. Located close to BIS.
Knauber
This is by far the most wide range DIY store. Good quality. They also have craft and picture framing departments and a pet supply section with pets for sale! The largest local Knauber is in Bonn/Endenich, (Endenicherstrasse 120). This one also has an upscale food market. There is a smaller store in Mehlem/Bad Godesburg (Mallwitzstrasse 18) and a very large store at Troisdorf north of Bonn with a comprehensive art and crafts section.
Baumarkt
This is the largest DIY Store in the Bonn area. For those from North America, this can be compared to Home Depot.
