Camarillo, and Ventura County in general, is surrounded by agriculture. Much of the county's economy is based on this. Driving along any of the roads that skirt the suburban areas, you're likely to see several different crops, depending on the season. Strawberries, Artichokes, Onions, Corn, Avocados, and Citurus are just some of the things you'll find growing.

Mega ag companies aren't the only ones growing in Camarillo. Small orchards can still be found around town, and many people with smaller yards raise gardens.

Want some of that local produce? Check out the Farmers Market on Sundays, or stop by one of the Produce Stands on the outskirts of town.
