Chattacon is a science fiction convention founded by Irv Koch in 1976, and organized by Chattanooga Speculative Fiction Fans, Inc. It is held every January in the Chattanooga Choo-Choo hotel, and brings together hundreds of speculative fiction fans along with the authors, artists, and scientists who make it possible. Previous locations include the Read House and the former Clarion Hotel (now the Doubletree).
Attractions include panels, gaming, cosplay, live music, fire dancing, a dealer's room, an art show, and a film festival.
