Soroptimist International of Davis' Live Your Dream Award is an annual cash grant that the club gives to a woman who serves as financial head of household while completing an undergraduate education or vocational / skills training program. The grant is a resource for motivated women to improve their education, skills and employment prospects, thus leading to better lives for both themselves and their family.

Since 1972, the Live Your Dream Award has distributed more than $30 million to tens of thousands of women throughout the world. The Live Your Dream Awards involves three levels of cash awards. The program begins at the local Soroptimist club-level, where award amounts vary. Local-level award recipients then become automatically eligible for region-level awards of either $3,000 or $5,000. Region-level award recipients then become eligible to receive one of three international-level awards of $10,000.

SI Davis is offering multiple local club-level awards of $1,000 or more to 2018's recipients.

As of 2018, the application process is entirely online. Applicants select the Soroptimist club closest to them by typing in their zip code. Awardees are always invited to a luncheon in their honor at the Odd Fellows Club! They are encouraged to bring a guest, and many awardees choose to bring their children.

The application consists of a written portion, financial summary and two letters of reference. The application is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Japanese.
