The Denton Swing Dance Organization (formerly the Denton Swing Dance Society) was established to provide and promote swing dancing in the Denton area. Dances are normally held on the first Saturday and third Friday of the month and are open to people of all ages. All of the dances are smoke and alcohol free.
A beginner East Coast Swing lesson is held from 8-9pm before every dance. The cost of the lesson and the dance is $7.00 (cash only).
Workshops are $12.00 and include the price of the dance. Workshops are generally held from 6-8pm once a month, and cover all types of swing dancing, including Charleston, Balboa, Shag, and Lindy Hop.
Aerials and low dips are not allowed at dances for safety reasons.
